This statement covers this showcase website for Dave’s Garage Doors, an invented brand built by Chamberlin Design LLC. It was last reviewed on October 5, 2026.
Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, a screen reader, screen magnification, captions or voice control. Accessibility was part of the build from the first page, not added at the end.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are the international standard for making websites usable by people with disabilities. They have three levels: A, AA and AAA. Level AA is the level most laws and policies point to.
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some content may not fully meet the standard. Everything on the site was designed and tested to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and we describe it as partially conformant because it was checked by the team that built it rather than by an independent auditor. We also follow the newer WCAG 2.2 where it adds more, such as larger touch targets and keeping the focused item in view.
How we checked
Chamberlin Design evaluated the site itself on October 5, 2026:
- An automated scan with axe on every type of page, at computer and phone widths, with no issues found.
- A check at 320 pixels wide, with no sideways scrolling, and at 200 percent zoom.
- Keyboard testing of the menus, the booking dialog, the questions and answers, the quote form and the footer.
- Color contrast checks on every text and background pairing, including text over photos.
- A check with reduced motion turned on.
What we did
- Text and buttons meet the WCAG contrast ratios on every background.
- A “Skip to content” link is the first thing the keyboard reaches on every page.
- Every link, button and form field can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Pages use real headings in order, and the menus, main content and footer are marked as landmarks.
- Every form field has a label, required fields are marked, and errors are described in words.
- Photos that carry meaning have descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- The moving banner on the home page has a pause button and stops on its own when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Nothing on the site flashes.
Known limitations
- The drawing of the service area on the Service Area page is a picture. Everything it shows, the four areas and the neighborhoods in each, is also written out as text on the same page.
- The photos were made with artificial intelligence for this showcase. Their descriptions say what each one shows, but they do not picture real jobs or real people.
Technology relied upon
The site relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA. It is designed to work with current versions of Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox, and with screen readers such as VoiceOver, TalkBack and NVDA.
